Home Asteriodea

Phylum Echinodermata includes the sea stars, brittle stars, sea cucumbers, sand dollars, and sea lilies.  They are deuterostomes, which makes them more closely related to Chordates than the previous animal phyla covered thus far.  As adults they have radial symmetry as a derived rather than primitive characteristic.
