Course: JUST 2400. Physical Security
Description: Physical protection of industrial, business,
governmental, and educational facilities; physical security requirements and
standards; and security surveys.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
We expect students completing this course to be able to:
- identify problems associated
with the protection of various facilities.
- identify limitations in the
protection of various facilities.
- design a security survey for
a given type of facility.
- develop a facility protection
plan based on survey data.
- identify various security
devices and techniques and relate each to a given security problem while
working within budget limitations.
- demonstrate skills in the
area of teamwork.
- demonstrate skills in the
delivery and presentation of a formal plan or bid to an unknown board of
directors.
- demonstrate skills in the
area of written proposals.
- be aware of a variety of
career opportunities in physical security.
