OUTCOMES
Course: JUST 4390. Information and Computer Security
Description: Acquaints the student with methods and procedures
concerning protection of information, computer hardware, and software. Emphasis
is placed upon identifying the organizational responsibility for protective
programs and detection of information and computer theft.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
We expect students completing this course to be able to:
- define various terminology
as it applies to information security.
- discuss sources and methods
of collection of confidential information.
- demonstrate ability to
collect information about a person.
- discriminate between legal
and illegal sources of information.
- list law enforcement and
other government sources of information.
- list private sources of
information such as personal records, credit-reporting agencies, in-file
reporting, motor vehicle records, medical records, student records, etc.
- discuss the issue of
privacy.
