Course: JUST 4680. Torts
Description: The law of private wrongs: negligence theory; duty;
breach of duty; proximate cause; damages; and defenses. Examination of legal
and medical malpractice. Discussion of intentional torts.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
We expect students completing this course to be able to:

the basic law of torts.
- know and understand the
intent element of intentional torts.

and battery.
- know and understand false
imprisonment.
- know and understand tort of
outrage.
- know and understand
trespass and conversion.
- know and understand
defenses to intentional torts (privileges, consent, self defense, etc.)
