Course: JUST 4780. Administrative Law
Description: A course directed towards the study of substantive and
procedural matters concerning the administrative justice system, including code
and standards, benefit claims, regulated groups, court decisions, and civil
rights.
Expected Learning Outcomes:
We expect students completing this course to be able to:
- demonstrate an understanding
of the Administrative Procedures Act.
- understand the process of
rulemaking by federal agencies.
- understand and participate
in the processes of investigations, informal actions, and formal
adjudications by administrative agencies.
- understand the role of
administrative agencies in the state and federal government.
- understand the procedures
used to obtain government information under the Freedom of Information
Act.
