MATH 1100      Finite Mathematics     Spring Semester 2004

Excerpt from Department syllabus: MATH 1100 is intended for students whose major does not require calculus. Some of the students will not be taking another mathematics course. Many Education majors will follow MATH 1100 with MATH 1310-1320 to complete their math requirement for state teacher certification. Students in some majors (for example, Biology) will follow MATH 1100 with MATH 2680, Inferential Statistics. MATH 1100 satisfies the AUM Liberal Education Requirement (core requirement) in mathematics, and it has been approved as a state core course in math.
