JASON XIII : Frozen Worlds
Coming in 2001-2002... TENTATIVELY @ AUM
March 4 - 8, 2002
JASON XIII: Frozen Worlds will take students and teachers on
an adventure to some of the colder regions of our planet and solar
system. Alaska and the Polar Regions will serve as comparative
venues, and our laboratory for examining our research questions.
Alabama Crystal Growing Competition
The 2001 Alabama Crystal Growing
Competition has been cancelled due to
an unexpected medical emergency in Dr. Thomas's immediate family. As the
Director
of the event, Dr. Thomas was unable to complete preliminary procedures, thus it
was decided to postpone this year's competition. We anticipate the 2002 event to
take place. Please keep checking this link for further updates, news and
information.
The Department of Physical Sciences
offers and awards an academic scholarship each
semester. The Physical Sciences Scholarship for the Fall, 2001 Semester
will be
awarded, based upon meeting specific criteria for award, in the very near
future. Please
