Publications and Professional Activities

 Dr. Grafton is the co-author of two books on Alabama politics (Big Mules and Branchheads: James E. Folsom and Political Power in Alabama, and Political Power in Alabama: The More Things Change . . .) which were published by the University of Georgia Press in 1985 and 1995, respectively. He is the author, co-author, or editor of over 50 journal articles, monographs, and books in the fields of Alabama politics, computer applications in political science and public administration, technology and public policy, and public budgeting. His publications have appeared in such journals as Policy Sciences, Social Science Computer Review, Public Productivity Review, PS: Political Science and Politics, and the Southeastern Political Review. Dr. Grafton is book review editor of the Social Science Computer Review.
