Dr. Wendzel is a faculty member of Air War College in the Department of Strategy and International Security. He has previously been the Merrill Professor of Political Science at Utah State University and the Vacca Professor of Liberal Arts at University of Montevallo.
Dr. Wendzel has authored or co-authored ten books, the latest are Games Nations Play (CQ Press, 1996), America's Foreign Policy in a Changing World (HarperColins, 1994), and Defending America's Security (Brassey's, Inc., 1990). He was the sole author of the book International Politics: Policymakers and Policymaking (John Wiley & Sons, 1981) and International Relations: A Policymaker Focus (John Wiley & Sons, 1980). He has lectured around the world.
Dr. Wendzel has three children and ten grandchildren and is an avid sports fan.
